I walked right into school and caught you staring at me.

I am a coxswain for the men’s rowing team here. And I love it. I truly love it. But I have come to find that I am just one of the boys. It is an inevitable aspect of the sport, though, seeing as there are 60 guys and less than 10 girls (I think there are 7 or 8 of us). So to answer your question, yes I love guys. They are less dramatic, more entertaining, and simply more attractive to me than girls. As a female engineer and a member of a men’s athletic team, I see my fair share of dudes and will always stand by this observation. But every now and then, I feel like the fellas forget I am in fact a girl.

Lately I’ve had these thoughts more than ever, partially because I want a boyfriend and partially because ___deepest__secret__here___. I had a boyfriend once for 1 or 2 months (so many stories accompany that statement) and am looking forward to another, even better relationship. Currently, there are a few guys on whom I am crushing-harder-than-cars-on-pop-cans (listen to “Ms. Heather and Mr. Grey” by Jason Mraz), but I don’t even think they notice (this is your invite to my pity party). They know me very well, but are completely oblivious to the fact that I really like them. You ladies and gents know what I’m talking about…

Liking someone is so confusing, especially when you’re an old-fashioned female like myself and will always wait for the man to make the first move. This has led me to wearing more v-neck t-shirts and pointy toed shows... sometimes at the same time (crazy, I know!!)... so that even if the fellas I know don’t give me much of a second look, I can imagine that someone else is. Because one day, I want to walk into a room and catch him STAIR-RING-AT-MEEE! **sighs** but who knows. I might just end up an old maid.

p.s. Sorry for the somewhat poor video/sound quality... I had to use my archaic digital camera. And I flubbed a few of the lyrics, but I recorded this for a friend who will appreciate it all the same. Enjoy :)

WOW! thank you :D that means a lot to me!! i wasn't sure if i'd ever do others, but this gives me more confidence to make more videos! haha, i have too much fun with them. p.s. glad i'm not alone ;)
