Hi. I'm Katie.

Hello buzzies. My name is Katie. And I wish my life were a musical. Thoughts roll through my head as I lay in bed and I start to think of a song. There’s no right or wrong when it comes to the music. Just a thought or a place or a person, that’s all there is to it.

On a good day I’ll create something new, an original piece just for me. But on days where I’m reeling and I can’t describe my feeling, an old one will come to mind. I think of songs that were playing in the background or of songs that I wish had been there. Of all the bands I know, all the music I love, all the things my ears have heard. And things just come to mind when I come to find that I’m happiest in the absence of silence.

So I’ll walk along with my iPod on and I wish that everyone could hear, what I’m listening to, it just describes my mood and I find it gives me more meaning. So I’ll get lost in the tune and I’ll start to hmmm, and then I’ll sing out loud. But then people stare and I start to care and I’ll just go back to dreaming about one day meeting someone who will sing along. Who will join in song just like in the movies. Who will sing along like it’s some sort of disease. Who’ll sing, sing, sing, sing with me.
